Vara Mahalakshmi Vrata (ವರಮಹಾಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಿ ವ್ರತ) is a very popular religious ritual in the Southern regions of India. On that day, people set up auspicious ‘Kalasha’ in their homes and worship the same as the Deity of Goddess Lakshmi for peace, prosperity and wealth.

Sometimes the ‘Kalasha’ is draped up in a saree and made into a full-fledged deity of the Goddess Lakshmi.

In this video, reputed Skills Development Trainer, Mamatha, demonstrates how to drape Two sarees on the ‘Kalasha Deity’ of Goddess Lakshmi. There are several ways to drape saree. We plan to bring up the different episodes for most of those ways.
