For those of you who aren’t aware of who Grant Imahara is... he is a former MythBuster from the TV show “MythBusters." Now, he has taken up an interest in building his very own robot with his Tormach CNC mill, part by part until completion.

Starting with a manual machine that he purchased and wondering what his next transition would be to create his next robot project, Grant turned to his peers for feedback. He contemplated transitioning his manual mill into a CNC mill when his friends convinced him otherwise. He ended up getting the Tormach PCNC 770, and he is quickly picking up on how to make a robot of his own!

With the CNC machine, he is able to bring his ideas to life, and part by part bring a robot to life. He has the capability to cut prototypes of parts in minutes from any material he can get his hands on. With a prototype, he can then shift to making the real part to be utilized in his project.
