From civil society to celebrities — it feels like everyone's eyes are on the 400-acre land in Kancha Gachibowli, Hyderabad.

The issue was initially a land ownership dispute between the University of Hyderabad (UoH) and the Government of Telangana. After the latter, under Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, announced to auction the land, students of UoH started agitating against the auction & potential deforestation.

However. it was not until recently. that the issue would attract the attention of the whole country.
