King Maekar Targaryen was never meant to be king, but after the death of his brother, Baelor Breakspear at the tounrey of Ashford and his second brother King Aerys i not having an heir of his own, the crown fell to Maekar. Maekar was a hard man and a solider though and though fighting during the first Blackfyre Rebellion, some questioned if he had the skill needed to be a king. There is much debate what the legacy of King Maekar was, but for many it is his parenting style particular him allowing his youngest son, the future King Aegon the Unlikly to Westeros with a hedge knight as a child. In this video we take a look at the complete reign of King Maekar and ask what is his legacy.

Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen was trapped on Dragonstone by her brother King Aegon ii with no way to escape her fate. What was to come was the final showdown between the two main players of the dance of the dragons and bring the war into its final phase. The House of the dragon was crumbling and the events that was about to follow would only cause more damage to both sides of the war.
