Folk music from Norway. Traditional tune relating to a local legend from Kivledalen in Telemark, of three girls turned to stone; the title translates as "The Kivle Maidens". This is one of four tunes relating to the story.

Art by Christian Skredsvig (1854-1924). The first painting is called "Seljefløyten", or "The Willow Flute", from 1889. The second to last image shows children making and playing willow flutes in April.
