STORYLINE:
Armed police patrolled the grounds of the UN climate conference venue in the Le Bourget suburb of Paris on Sunday morning.
It is the eve of talks between world leaders aimed at pushing for an ambitious global deal to reduce man-made emissions blamed for global warming.
The talks will take place while France remains under a state of emergency and thousands of troops and police are deployed to the capital in response to the 13 November attacks that killed 130 people.
