NOBLE TITLES HELD
The Hayes Baronetcy of Drumboe Castle in the County of Donegal was created in the Baronetage of Ireland in 1789 for Samuel Hayes, who represented Augher in the Irish House of Commons between 1783 and 1790. The third Baronet represented County Donegal in the British House of Commons. The title became extinct on the death of the fifth Baronet in 1912.

The Hayes Baronetcy of Westminster in London, was created in the Baronetage of Great Britain on in 1797 for Sir John Hayes, a military physician and Physician-Extraordinary to the Prince of Wales. The title became extinct on the death of the third Baronet in 1896.

NOTABLES
Catherine Hayes (d. 1861) was a world-famous Irish soprano of the Victorian era. According to London's Daily Express, "Hayes was the 'Madonna' of her day; she was the 19th-century operatic equivalent of the world's most famous pop star.

Alice M. Hayes (1862-1913) was a British horse trainer. Married to the veterinarian and horse expert Horace Hayes she was well travelled and an expert at breaking-in. Hayes demonstrated her riding skills on the most difficult of horses and once, in India, rode a zebra sidesaddle. She wrote The Horsewoman in 1893, a guide to riding for ladies.
