Shruti is a 5-year-old girl who has recently been adopted by a couple. Having never known familial love, she often feels a little lost in the new environment she has suddenly been thrust into. Even though the people who brought her home love her, she cannot bring herself to see them as her parents. But then, on a fateful Diwali evening, something happens that changes everything.
