Southern Gold Ltd (ASX:SAU) managing director Robert Smilie sits down with Proactive’s Elisha Newell to discuss the company’s vision to create a domestic lithium supply chain in South Korea. Southern Gold wants to feed one of the world’s major lithium battery manufacturing players and has lodged licence applications over five areas prospective for lithium mineralisation. Despite South Korea’s dominance in the battery manufacturing space, there are currently no producing lithium mines in the country, and Smilie says there is plenty of upside for an entrepreneurial explorer.
