Part 4 of 4. Flight from Egilsstadir Iceland (BEIG) to Wick Scotland (EGPC) returning over the North Atlantic Ocean in the Diamond DA42 VI registration N42LR. Departing Eglisstadir on a foggy morning, then routing via the Faroe Islands back to a Scotland in good weather. Route was just over 600 nautical miles and flight time was 4 hours, burning around 50 gallons of Jet A1. Even though there was turbulence and icing forecast, flight was pretty smooth. Strong head winds picked up at high level on the later legs of the flight.

2020 DA42, Registration N42LR, equipped with the Garmin G1000 NXI avionics. Use of Flight Stream, Garmin Satellite Weather and GWX 68 weather radar. Aircraft equipped with Flight Into Known Icing protection.

Use of Foreflight to aid flight planning and for Jeppesen Charts.

Pilot Headset is a Clarity Aloft in-ear headset.
