Sega CD - The Sports Games

Описание к видео Sega CD - The Sports Games

This one is for you Sega die hards that loved 16-bit sports games. The Sega CD had a few decent ones, but overall it was yet another area where things could have been so much better.

Episode Notes:

1. The vast majority of the capture here was done with a mix of real hardware and the Mega SG/SD. I did use emulation for some of the WWF Rage in the Cage segment. The Mega SD just kept failing to load the match.

2. If I knew the game well and played it a lot, I used the simulation mode for a few of these. That's where the CPU plays itself. It helped with capture time. Most of these did not, however.

3. The Sega CD was truly awful at FMV. That low color count just made everything look so much worse than it should have.

4. Honestly, after playing these, I kind of just wish Sega had ported all their cartridge sports series with better sound effects. At this point, that would have been infinitely better than what we got.

5. I really was ready to write off NFL Football Trivia Challenge. So much so that I didn't even realize I had chosen the Bears in the setup screen. You'll notice that when I score.
