My Technique for Sight-Reading Braille

Are you tired of making silly mistakes on your NLS homework? Have you tried working on your braille literacy? For me, daily reading a fun book in braille greatly improved my proofreading skills!

In this video -
• I show you where to download three FREE braille reference charts,
• I explain how the alphabet in braille is organized (making it easier to remember!),
• What I look for in a book (making it more enjoyable to sight-read the braille), and
• I talk about my thought process on how I decode a book in braille.

You get extra credit if you can tell me which number I said wrong. Clue- it's when I'm talking about how many pages are in the Courage of Helen Keller book! Sometimes I get nervous when I'm recording! LOL
