I wrote this song in response to the acting Prime Minister Chris Hipkins saying to the media on the 4th of September 2023 "There was no compulsory vaccination, people made their own choices." I personally stand for Freedom of Choice and my opinion is that it was extremely insensitive for Chris to say this when the only choice many people in New Zealand had, during the pandemic, was to receive a vaccine or lose their jobs. Most employees did not have a choice, if they still wanted to feed their families, pay their mortgage or rent. I work for myself so I did have a choice and I chose not to be part of an ineffective medical experiment. I still lost a lot of my choices of where I could go to shop, eat, drink or play my music. I still lost my choice and ability to earn an income during the lockdowns. The best analogy I can think of is if someone breaks into your house and puts a gun to your head and says give me all your valuables or I'll kill you, It's your choice? If you did this to make someone sign a contract, it would void the contract, it's called duress. Here's the definition of duress: The contract is not legally binding if there was: duress — when serious threats or pressure are used to force someone to accept a contract. This song is about standing up for your rights for the good of all humanity. I chose the release date, the 3rd of April, because this is the day Jesus made the ultimate sacrifice to save all of our souls.
