The mother of a man killed in a fire at a hotel on the banks of Loch Lomond says she still needs answers about her son’s death.

Jane Midgley told STV News she is determined to appeal a decision not to hold a fatal accident inquiry into the fatal blaze

Simon, 38, and his partner Richard, 32, died after the blaze at the five-star hotel, next to Loch Lomond, on December 18, 2017.

Earlier this month, Crown Counsel said there would be no fatal accident inquiry int the cause of the fire. It reached that decision following a multi-agency investigation that led to two convictions over the blaze.
