經過我們前兩日的挖掘，發現骨骼化石的數量急遽增加，並深深地插入地層中，這顯示在地層的深處恐怕還埋藏著更多、更大的骨骼化石，面對這非常事態，我們團隊裡的成員開始各顯神通，使用各種意想不到的方法迎戰。

同時，前所未有的巨大挫敗正等待著我們每個人…

《鯨魚谷:恆春頭溝鯨魚化石發掘紀行》系列紀錄片，為臺灣史上首次大型古生物化石發掘的影像全紀錄，本紀錄片將帶領觀眾重回恆春臺地頭溝的鯨魚化石發掘現場，跟著我們的腳步，親眼見證這隻史前巨獸的完整發掘過程。
