SWFL Eagles 11-29-24. Morning Views of the Precious Eggs; Pond Visits for M15 & F23. 🦅🏝️🦅

Video opens with F23 incubating from the overnight. She rises and we have our first of several good views of the precious eggs on this foggy morning. The sun starts trying to shine through the fog, then M15 arrives, bringing nest material in his right foot. He was likely a bit later than normal due to the weather conditions.

We have the first incubation switch of the morning, F23 to M15. F23 flies to the CSS (church side snag), then the pond. The Muscovy Ducks swim past F23 as she gets sips. F23 moves to the old drain rocks. Bud strolls in her direction, and F23 flies to the office oak. Back at the nest, CamOps provides close-up views of M15 as he incubates. F23 goes back to the pond's edge for a few minutes, and flies to the FDS (front drive snag). When M15 is ready to switch, he rises and vocalizes to F23. M15 flies to the FDS, and F23 returns to the nest for the incubation switch. M15 flies NW.

Later, a Great Blue Heron arrives at the pond and starts trolling. The heron takes flight when M15 flies in. While the heron is unlikely to be a target for M15 as prey (too large, dangerous bill), the heron knows that M15 will try to steal any fish the heron catches. M15 gets sips at the pond, and Missy strolls by. M15 wanders up the bank and finds a stick, then drops it. M15 then heads back to the nest tree, watching over until the next incubation switch. 04:13. M15 arrives, later than normal, likely due to the fog.
04:29. M15 arrives, nest material in his right foot.

14:50. M15 finds a stick, then leaves it on the ground.
