This is video of the wreck and the surrounding reef. The Sletreal (also known as the Sletrea) is one of two true shipwrecks off of Varadero, Cuba. There are other wrecks, but they were deliberately sunk as artificial reefs. The Liberian-registered Sletreal, sank on January 30th, 2000. From what I heard, there was some welding being done on this tanker when it exploded. Three crew members were killed and two were injured. Seen here are a spotted moray eel, a large porcupine puffer (as big as they get), a crinoid, yellowtail snappers, porkfish and other underwater life.
