Journeys: Jazz Funk Fusion from Switzerland

For more than 20 years JOURNEYS from Switzerland have delighted a wide range of concert and radio audiences across Europe, North America and China with their exciting Jazz-Funk-Fusion compositions.

They present songs from their new album “Gate 65”. An intriguing collection of new groovy Funk pieces, lyrical ballads, and electrifying Latin Jazz compositions, which not only appeal to just Jazz lovers, but a broad, multi-generational audience of music fans. An inspiring, timeless mix of beautiful melodies, colorful harmonies, stirring grooves and excellent solis.

After three studio albums, the sextet decided to record their new album “Gate 65” live in the studio without overdubs. This approach created an immediacy and liveliness in the recordings, which are stripped down to their essence and created entirely ‘in the moment’. JOURNEYS and their new album already captivated the audience during the band’s USA tour earlier this year, and now it’s being released worldwide.
