In Today’s Kim’s Adventure we head on over to the largest bouldering gym, Planet Granite Fountain Valley with our friends from ‪@LookWhosBlogging‬

Founded in 2017, El Cap is one of the largest operators of indoor climbing facilities in the U.S. with 20 locations

It’s sister company Planet Granite in Fountain Valley is it’s newest location with 30,000 square feet of bouldering, yoga and fitness.

The gym also features artwork by local artist Max Mcilwee and it really gives the space a trendy feel

Planet Granite caters to participants of all abilities from competitive athletes to weekend adventurers and families.

You can come for a day or purchase a monthly or annual membership, and if it’s your first time you can rent climbing gear as well.

After filling out the waiver the boys had to watch an instructional safety video before beginning.

The manager was nice enough to fit our boys with special climbing shoes. He explained that they needed to be very snug on the feet.

Little did he know that Dylan had inherited the Kim’s signature gigantic feet and had to try on several pairs before finding the right shoes.

The fountain valley location is a bouldering gym so the walls don’t have ropes

The manager took us to an area to start off beginning climbers.

He also taught us the correct way to fall to avoid injury. The floors are extremely well padded and very safe, so as long as you have proper form you should be fine.

Both Dylan and ‪@LookWhosBlogging‬ did a great job.

Dylan easily climbed the kids wall and was ready for the next challenge.

Dylan has never done rock walls of this size before and I was surprised at how good he was at it.

While the boys were climbing I took Nolan to the restroom and was impressed by the facilities.

We washed our hands and walked around the rest of the gym

Planet Granite offer a mix of yoga styles to help each and every body find their balance.

The categories of yoga include vinyasa, hatha, gentle and specialty that are all tailored to the communities teachers and students.
They have plethora of yoga supplies that are ready to check out for the classes.

The gym offers 155 different climbing scenarios and are up to 15 feet tall

They provide comprehensive classes designed to support every layer and level of climbing

If that seems overwhelming you can also schedule private coaching.

And if you just want to have fun, you can also plan group outings or a party, but due to covid, the options are limited so you can reach out to them through their website.

I don’t know what this wall is, but maybe someone can let me know in the comments below.

We decided to branch out from the beginners area and climb the rest of the gym.

After we finished climbing we took a quick tour of their fitness area.

We passed through the lounge where members can just relax and hang out

There are equipment for weight training, cardio and cross-fit
