I began violin lessons in school at fifth grade. I just adored the violin and was sure
that this is what I will do my life. For around 15 years it didn't go at all as I planned or wanted! I tried really hard, with no TV, almost no friends, and I practiced constantly wherever I went. My violin was my constant companion and friend. Eventually I won a Master's degree in performing on the violin, mostly by burying my head in my practice and love for the music.

I'm sure that I practiced much harder than anyone else but wasn't progressing as I wanted to. My teachers didn't know how to help me, and several people though maybe I wasn't was practicing violin a lot, and others just didn't think that I possessed that special something need to be a successful violinist. Eventually I saw that I was putting in lots of practice hours, but wasn't practicing efficiently - I'd never been taught how to practice properly.

I then realized something that literally changed everything. At last I saw what was out of place during all that practice time when I was taking course in Suzuki tuition. The actual class was intended to show me to teach newbies how to play violin, but in fact, it was me that was learning some fundamental techniques that I had not been shown before!
