Dynasty Warriors 8: XL CE - Others Story Mode 5 - Skirmish at Guandu (Ultimate)

I friggin' love when they use DW4 music. This stage is Guandu on Yuan Shao's side. And it's actually pretty tough to get everything done. You have to rush and in fact I recommend just ignoring Guan Yu entirely to go help Zhenji who will otherwise defect in like a minute. Guan Yu is in hyper mode and takes forever to kill, but all he does is sit there at Baima so he isn't actually a threat. Taking him out of the equation gives you much more time to go and keep the rest of your army together from the multitude of others things that goes on.

Part of what makes this hard is that it's so time restrictive and Yuan Shao has unnaturally low damage. Never noticed it with him until I played him on Ultimate here. If you try to play him, I recommend just buffing his attack stat in ambition mode so he can deal damage faster than a snails pace. There's actually nothing wrong with his moveset as it's very safe and reliable, one of his musous can even heal himself, but with how weak his attack stat is it just makes everything take forever on Ultimate.
