Enneagram Type 8 Countertypes (Social 8s) often don't act like the stereotypical type 8. Sometimes you will hear the enneagram countertypes called divergent. They are at the core of them a type 8 but their energy and behaviors don't always look like other type 8s. All types have a countertype. It has to do with the instinctual subtypes. For the 8, they are the self preservation 8s. Watch to find out more what it's like to be a type 8 that doesn't fit the type 8 mold always.
