Reishi Mushroom Double Extraction Tincture: Bioactive Compounds, One Pot Method, Alcohol Reuse

Reishi mushroom contains two groups of bioactive compounds: polysaccharides and triterpenoids. Polysaccharides are water soluble, but triterpenoids are alcohol soluble. In order to extract both groups of chemicals, double extraction method is used. Double extraction includes two steps: alcohol tincture making and water decoction.

In this video, it is introduced how to make double extraction tincture from Reishi mushroom by a one-pot method.
