2025 Subaru Forester Touring FULL Review /// Subaru's Safest Family SUV?

Subaru’s latest generation Forester improves on capability, cargo space and a very small tech increase. And with a hybrid model confirmed on the way, the lineup is growing. But does it still stand out in a crowded segment? I drove this 2025 Touring, priced around $40k. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🏁 @Alllcarnews Spec Sheet: Under the hood is the very familiar 2.5L naturally aspirated flat-4 making 180HP and 178 lb-ft of torque to all four wheels through Subaru’s Linerartronic CVT. And yes, a Hybrid is coming by 2026. 🏁 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Highs:
It’s still a Forester: a plush, reliable, spacious, and capable family vehicle.
+Plethora of standard driver assist features.

Lows:
-Could reintroduce the turbo engine option
-Lacks a standout design or feature package in a crowded segment
-Infotainment system takes time getting used to, driver cluster display needs to be increased.

7.5/10 Nearly all the dislikes about the Forester will make you remember that it’s not meant to be a bold, super high tech or super luxurious stand out segment contender. Its purpose of being reliable, capable, and comfortable still hold true.
