Killer Boogie challenge (call to action) 🤠🎹🎹🎹🤠

Описание к видео Killer Boogie challenge (call to action) 🤠🎹🎹🎹🤠

The killer boogie is simply the greatest boogie woogie spectacle period. Originally recorded by Jan Rietman (under the name of The Killer), it is a super fast boogie woogie piano blast. You would be correct in thinking that it is inspired by Jerry Lee Lewis, but it is not him playing. Thanks to a viral YouTube dance craze, most swing, jive and lindy hoppers know the steps to perform the routine that was choreographed in the 1990s by Marcus Koch. However there is not a single cover, tutorial or mention of this tune among the boogie woogie piano community. Come on Boogie Woogie Bluesters, we are letting the side down. So this is my Call to Action, if you play boogie woogie, take a look at my tutorial in this video, learn to play it and play along at the various speeds provided in the video. You don't want to be caught out when a boogie-woogie dancer asks 'do you know the killer boogie?' If you manage to learn in post a video of you playing and state the Beats Per Minute if you know it. Get in touch and if I receive enough i'll feature our community playing the song on mass, just like the dancers do.

As for the speed, at the time of posting this the best I can manage it at 220 BPM and even then i make a few mistakes. I'll keep going but it may take Ben Toury or Henri Herbet to record the first performance at the full 256 BPM.

If this lesson is a bit beyond your level don't forget to check out some of introductions to boogie woogie piano instead. As always, don't forget to like the video and leave a comment. It's nice to know you are there and support what I'm trying to do with Boogie Woogie. Finally if you haven't already, please take the time to subscribe below, it's free and if you hit the bell button at the same time you'll never miss a fantastic boogie woogie boss upload. Cheers, Boogie Woogie Boss
