SPEAKER: Christine Chen is an Assistant Professor with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at The University of British Columbia. Her research interests include power system analysis, monitoring, and control. She received the B.A.Sc. degree in engineering science from the University of Toronto in 2009, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2011 and 2014, respectively. Christine is a recipient of the 2017–2018 Best Paper Award from the IEEE Transactions on Energy Conversion. She serves on the editorial boards of the IEEE Transactions on Power Systems and the IEEE Transactions on Energy Conversion.
