This is the first in a series of interviews I’m conducting with professional creatives to explore the intersection of Art, Design & AI. As a UX Designer in ‘Big Tech’, but also an artist/illustrator/writer myself, I’m particularly interested in how AI is shaping the future of the creative industries and wanted to learn more from others in the field.

My first interview is with Katie Chappell, a live illustrator, graphic recorder and all-round lovely human being. Katie is the definition of an illustration polymath. She runs Illustrated Live, turning complex ideas into memorable drawings at conferences for clients like Google, Adobe, Apple, and the United Nations. She’s also a co-founder of Good Ship Illustration, and has her first children’s book out in May (Pre-order here!).
