The CM Punk & Hangman Drama. There's some drama in AEW involving CM Punk and Hangman Page... let's talk about it.

CM Punk has been in a lot of headlines today and it isn’t for anything positive. On Dynamite last night, Punk was supposed to come out and build-up his title match with Jon Moxley. Before he mentioned the interim AEW world champion, he randomly called out Hangman Adam Page. CM Punk went off script and told the former champion to come out to the ring to have a rematch for the world championship. When Hangman obviously didn’t show up, CM Punk called him coward shit. It really made no sense. People were confused, but it’s starting to make sense today as we have more information on the situation. The AEW champion went off script and went into business for himself. Knowing that Adam Page wasn’t going to show up because he wasn’t even reportedly in the building, this was done on purpose to make him look bad. The reports go on to state that CM Punk wasn’t happy with some of the promo material from their feud months ago for their Double or Nothing match. Punk has been salty for months now holding onto this grudge. This was his way of getting revenge. It made one of their top stars look bad. It made Punk look like a dickhead. And it makes Tony Khan look like a powerless boss. This is the same story we’ve seen before. CM Punk is going around crying like a bitch for no reason. It’s gotten to a point where it’s time to evaluate him. There was no reason for this to happen. If he really had a problem with Hangman, he should have spoken to him about the promo in the back. But, he didn’t. He kept it inside of him and cried to the fans for their support. In reality, it just confirmed that he’s toxic. Another report broke out that he went to AEW’s upper management to inform them that he refused to lose the title match against Page at Double or Nothing. CM Punk essentially gave them an ultimatum to sign him or he would have walked out the same way he did in 2014. There’s going to be people who support CM Punk and that’s fine. I think I’m just over him and the drama that comes from him. Triple H was right about him in 2011. CM Punk only really cares for himself. And when you think about it, he’s one of the reasons that Tony Khan didn’t resign Cody Rhodes to a contract. Punk’s contract was so big that he couldn’t afford Cody. TK really let one of the true pillars of AEW walk away so he could sign CM Punk who’s causing him headaches now. On top of that, MJF also left because of all these ex-WWE wrestlers coming in making millions. MJF was with AEW for four years and was definitely the best thing about the company. You’re supposed to reward these people with the most money and world championships. And yet, Punk walked in, made more money and took that championship opportunity. At this point, AEW lost two of their top guys because of CM Punk. And then you’ve got him starting beef with Hangman Adam Page who doesn’t have beef with anyone else. Page is reportedly a really nice dude, but Punk decided to come after him. It’s time that Punk starts looking inward and begins to see that he’s the problem. It’s not Triple H, Vince McMahon, Cody Rhodes, MJF, Hangman Adam Page. It’s CM Punk. He’s got an attitude problem. He acts out when anything doesn’t go his way. He doesn’t know how to solve his problems in a healthy manner. CM Punk might have seemed like the best signing in 2021, but he could be a cancer to this company. If I’m Tony Khan, I’m punishing him by making Moxley defeat him on next week's episode of AEW Dynamite. CM Punk needs to learn a lesson that he’s not above the company. TK’s gotta put his foot down and lay the law. Otherwise, Punk will continue to cry and complain in the future. Others will follow too. We’ll see what happens.
