RTF 2021/ Day 2: Panel Discussion - Theater Practice in Rwanda and linkage to mental health

"Rwanda Theater Festival” which was initiated as "Rwandan Theater First" back in 2018 aims to showcase theater as a strong and useful artistic form to be valued in Rwanda and to empower young performing artistes to benefit from their talents by providing them with a platform for their exposure to the audience. It is an annual event.
The festival enhance entertainment with the purpose of raising awareness for mental health. This is the reason inspired the festival theme for 2021 "Covid-19 and Mental Health" to reflect on our lives during the global pandemic!

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:
• To explore diversity in Rwandan theater practices.
• Mental health awareness using performing arts.
• To provide a platform for young artistes to showcase their talents in the performing arts
• Capacity building and Culture exchange
