Cooling curves, comparing cooling methods - BTEC level 3 applied science, unit 2

Описание к видео Cooling curves, comparing cooling methods - BTEC level 3 applied science, unit 2

Cooling curves are studied as part of Unit - 2 Practical Scientific Procedures and Techniques for BTEC level 3 science courses.

This is my second video on cooling curves. If you haven't done so already it is worth taking a look at this video    • Cooling curves experiment and analysi...   for an introduction to this topic.

This video includes an overview of an experiment to investigate the impact of the cooling method has on the cooling of a substance. One sample of stearic acid was cooled in air, the other in a beaker of room temperature water. I'll explain how the nature of the cooling medium (air or water) impacts the rates of cooling an why.

The experiment was carried out using a datalogger and associated software. The data file produced was imported into a spreadsheet package and was used to generate a cooling curve graph.
