Keota School, Northeast Colorado Prairie.

Описание к видео Keota School, Northeast Colorado Prairie.

Keota was plotted in 1888 and was on the train route from Sterling, CO to Cheyenne, WY. The train transported cattle and wheat. The Halcyon days of Keota were from about 1905 to around 1930 to about the time of the Great Depression and the Dust Bowl. Clyde Stanley who ran the Keota News from 1911 to about 1925 is buried in the Keota Cemetery. One day I plan to go back to do a short video on the cemetery. Many of the people died around 1918 in that cemetery due to the Spanish Flu Pandemic.
