TOYOTA CAMRY 2008 EVAPORATOR REPLACEMENT

AUTOMOBILE AIR CONDITION EVAPORATOR.

EVAPORATOR:-
The evaporator is use to exchange heat between the ambient air and the refrigerant in the air conditioning system.

HOW IT WORKS:
The expansion valve and / or orifice tube injects the highly pressurised liquid refrigerant into the evaporator. The refrigerant expands. The resulting evaporation cold is discharged to the environment via the large surface of the evaporator and routed to the vehicle interior through the ventilation airflow.

EFECTS OF FAILURE
The defective evaporator exhibit the following symptoms;

1. Poor cooling performance.

2. Failure of the air conditioning system.

3. Poor ventilation performance.

4. Odours caused by microorganisms.

CAUSES FOR FAILURE OF THE EVAPORATOR CAN BE;

1. External contamination impairs the flow of air.

2. Blockage caused by contaminated refrigerant from damaged components.

4. Leaks caused by defective sealing rings or oxidation.

TROUBLESHOOTING
The following test steps should be considered during troubleshooting;

1. Check evaporator for contamination.

2. Inspect evaporator for damage.

3. Check connection pipes for correct fit.

4. Leak test.

5. Pressure measurement with the compressor switched on and engine running.

6. Temperature measurement on the input and output line.
