All Levels Speaking Writing 2

Here are ten pictures of famous personalities. The learning point is to identify the pictures and speak about them. This can be done by first writing a few words about them. Collecting some information about all these ten would increase the awareness of the learners and improve their conversation skills in contexts where they can use these ideas. Describing the biographical details of each of the ten is an excellent way of practicing English and improving communication. There are 2 poets in the first slide whose poems have been used in an earlier video Mid Level Listening 2. Watching that video along with this one will help in this. Apart from these two poets, there are musicians, sportspersons, people known for service to humanity, political stalwarts, etc. For each personality the beginners level learners are asked to write 5 sentences, the mid-level one or two paragraphs and the advanced level about 500 words. Then they can speak about them. By repeated practice the learners will acquire the skill of speaking/writing about other famous personalities not included in this video.
