Construction and Loci. How to bisect a line

Will look at how we can bisect a line. We are going to look at 5 steps that's going to help us solve this problem;
1. Draw any line AB
2. Set a pair of compasses to any length greater than half of line AB
3. With centre A, draw arcs above and below line AB
4. With centre B, construct arcs to cut the arcs in the previous step at point X and Y respectively
5. The line through X and Y is perpendicular bisector of AB
