Soviet Prisoner & Humanitarian Raoul Wallenberg Turns Survival into an Act of Defiance | Samovar

Описание к видео Soviet Prisoner & Humanitarian Raoul Wallenberg Turns Survival into an Act of Defiance | Samovar

Decades after Raoul Wallenberg disappeared into the Soviet prison system, SAMOVAR is a poetic imagining of his survival, the tenderness of love, the emptiness of heroism and the quiet defiance of a brutal world.

SAMOVAR by LIA WILLIAMS
https://www.jsbfilms.com

"We spent time discussing who these two characters are, who they were historically, how they might behave in each other’s company, what they give to and what they conceal from each other. Angus Wright and Alex Lawther are hugely imaginative and sensitive actors who understood Frank McGuinnes’ writing intuitively and it was clear that, although they had never worked together before, this was going to be a fruitful, sensitive and honest working relationship. I had to say so little to get such beautiful responses moment by moment. They were superb."
