How to Knit the Knot Stitch - EASY

In this video I show you how to knit the knot stitch. This is a simple 4 row repeat pattern that is beginner friendly. This stitch pattern would be perfect for a placemat, wash/dish cloth, bathroom/kitchen rug or even a scarf.

Here are the 4 rows you need to know:

Cast on Multiples of 2 + 1

Row 1- knit all stitches
Row 2- k1, p2tog (purl 2 stitches together) leaving the 2 stitches you just purled on the left needle, bring working yarn to the back and knit those same 2 stitches.
Repeat this until the end of the row
Row3- knit all stitches
Row 4- p2tog (purl 2 stitches together) leaving the 2 stitches you just purled on the left needle, bring working yarn to the back and knit those same 2 stitches. Repeat this until one stitch remains and knit the last stitch.
Repeat these for rows until work is at desired length.
cast off after a row 4.
