The 2025 Ineos Grenadier Quartermaster Is The Coolest Truck In America!

Описание к видео The 2025 Ineos Grenadier Quartermaster Is The Coolest Truck In America!

Today we’re in Palm Springs driving the newest truck in America! It’s called the Quartermaster, and it’s coming from an unexpected place: Hambach, France. Yep, that’s where the newest Ineos will be built, right alongside the boxy Grenadier SUV.

As you’d expect, Ineos basically took a Grenadier, hacked off the cargo area, and stretched the frame 21.5 inches to accommodate the 61.5 inch long bed. (The wheelbase grows around 12 inches.) The result is something that’s… well, frankly fantastic. As long as you love boxy looks that is. Also: it looks like it’s ready to invade a small country if you get the available canvas cargo cover…

Power comes from the same 3.0L BMW engine as the Grenadier and it makes the same 282 horsepower. Solid axles happen front and rear, and the same 2-speed transfer case as the Grenadier is here as well. That means full time 4WD, and a true center differential that can be in 4Lo while unlocked. Yes, open diffs all the way around in 4Lo. That means no binding in the driveline unless you need to lock the center which can easily be done when needed. The downside? Fuel economy. This is rated for 14 MPG combined according to the EPA.

Now about that bed: It’s not 4-feet wide between the wheel wells, but you can put 4-foot wide things on top of the wheel arches if you need to because the rest of the bed is 63.7 inches wide. This puts this width above than the average midsize truck, but not quite in F-150 territory.

Payload comes in at a solid 1,845 pounds and towing capacity is the highest in the mid-sized segment at 7,716 lbs. (It barely edged out its soulmate, the Jeep Gladiator.)

Pricing? Well, it’s not cheap. This starts at $86,900… That’s less than I had expected, but it does make sense as trucks not made in N. America are subject to a steep 25% import tariff. (Don’t worry, Ineos is paying that, but it’s the main reason we never get the cool trucks from elsewhere in the world.) That also explains the rather exclusive $115,000 top end pricing, but until Mercedes makes is a G-Wagen truck, (Mercedes Kastenwagen? K-Wagen anyone?) this might be closest you can get…
Before you ask, no, we’re not buying one 😂
