A Sacramento Regional Transit light rail departing University/65th St Station and crossing 65th St railroad crossing on the SACRT Gold Line. This crossing recently had all four gates replaced with new gates that have Aurora gate LEDs on the signals and one of the signals gate saver was removed. The median center divid in the street was rebuilt also. The Cantilevers gated mast had the side lights installed sometime in 2004 when they rebuilt the sidewalk also extended the gated mast. Their use to be a third track here at this crossing on the other side that was for SPRR/UPRR spur that was removed sometime in 1990s and this use to be a jointly owned crossing back then also of SPRR/UPRR and SACRT. That's why the signals on the other side are mostly MI signals and the ones near me are Safetran signals. When SPRR removed the track SACRT kept SPRR signals on the MI signals on the other side. This crossing had a Safetran mechanical bell and a WCH or MI Mechanical bell and incandescent lights that were removed sometime in 2001. The SPRR track use to serve a building that is now gone that was in the open area to the left. More Info Below.
