Happy New Year! I have been meaning to post these PA Plow Day videos for a while now. Here is my PA Plow Day Prep. I took this video over the few days leading up to plow day. The work I did at night was the night before so I was in a little bit of a scramble to get everything ready.

First, I began by removing my 3 point hitch off my 1988 John Deere 322. I took this tractor to the 2017 plow day and it did well. But, I decided it was the 318's turn this year. Over the fall of 2017 I installed a newer Linimar LX770 in it and really haven't had a chance to give it a good workout to see what it's really got.

For the plow day I decided to invest in some goodies for the 318 especially for night plowing like the Tractor LEDS and LED work lights. Also, I had been running 16x6.50" fronts with 26" Tru Powers on my 322 and never liked the way it looked. I decided to buy some 18x8.50-8 Vredstein V61 tires to complement the Tru Powers. I am very happy with the combination. I also picked up an extra set of JD 50lb cast iron wheel weights because I was originally running Cub Cadet 25lb weights on top of the JD weights.
The suspension seat bracket was another upgrade that I decided to do as I was tired of the original seat springs and wanted to see how the suspension seat would improve the ride. They seat suspension, seat, and fender pan were all taken off a 1987 430. Since the 430 fender pan has the cutouts for the diff lock and H/L range, I am tempted to do a 420/430 differential swap in the future.

Lastly but certainly not least I prepped my Brinly plow.

Thanks for watching! Stay tuned for my main video at PA Plow Day!
