My friend Nick is CRUSHING it as a baseball broadcaster. He just called three games for the Kansas City Royals -- and he's only TWENTY-FIVE!!! How did he do it and how cool was my VIP experience with him?

Well first of all, I met Nick way back on September 2, 2011 at the Oakland Coliseum when he was just 13. Here's my blog entry about that bless'd day:

Now, all these years later, he's the Broadcast & Media Relations Manager for the Triple-A Omaha Storm Chasers. His journey has been amazing, and he offered some tremendous advice for anyone who wants to pursue a career in broadcasting, but it's also great life advice in general. His full name, by the way, is Nick Badders -- check him out @badderupsports and show some to the @omahastormchasers as well.

And okay, as for my time at Werner Park here in Nebraska, not only did I get to join Nick on the radio for an inning during the game, but I did SO MUCH other fun stuff. I got to take batting practice and hang out on the field and in the dugout with the players. I threw the ceremonial first pitch and also threw t-shirts in the t-shirt toss, and I snagged a bunch of foul balls during the game, so yeah, this was all pretty nuts.

As promised, here's my playlist of Minor League Baseball videos:

This video in Omaha was filmed on August 31, 2023 by Rachel Messbauer, and it was edited by Zac Gutherman (@zg_films). Thanks for watching!
