Sensational Gravity Boy - The Underground Version

In the early '90s I worked at WYSO-FM and had a radio show where local music was a regular fixture. This release by Freedom Cruise (aka Robert Pollard of Guided by Voices, with guest vocals from Kim and Kelly Deal of the Breeders). There were a handful of times that I would get music from bands that they recording, but didn't officially release yet. I recently came across this song again while listening to an old tape of one of my shows where I interviewed Mitch and Kevin from GBV. Since it was on cassette, the beginning ended up having a wicked echo effect when I first played it on air. I always thought this recording took place at Cro-Mag studio, but everything I see online says it was at Refraze.
