2016年、静寂な箱根強羅の山間 約3,700坪の落葉樹の雑木林に、全16室に源泉掛け流しの露天風呂を持つ旅館が誕生しました。
箱根連山の借景を抱えた、恵まれた自然を存分に取り込んだ建築、細かで大胆な和のしつらいに、近代の日本デザイン界を代表する匠達の家具を配しました。
お風呂は　敷地内に湯けむりを上げる源泉塔より汲み上げた、効能豊かなミネラルを多く含む、黄金色の自家源泉を、掛け流しで全客室の露天風呂と大浴場に提供しております。
お料理は、地元真鶴・相模湾の海の幸、神奈川の恵まれた山の旬を中心とした厳選素材に、下ごしらえに手間と時間を掛け、創作的な工夫も凝らした、本格懐石料理をご用意。
日本酒やワインも、繊細な料理と素材を活かすものを厳選しております。
旅館名「白檀」は、気品高く優美な芳香により、古来より世界中の人の心をとらえてきた稀少な香木「白檀（英名：sandalwood)」より頂戴しました。
