As I ventured further into Karnataka, my next destination was the revered Murudeshwar Shiva Temple, nestled in the picturesque coastal town of Murudeshwar. This ancient temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, stands majestically on the Kanduka Hill, overlooking the Arabian Sea. I was awestruck by the towering 123-foot-tall Shiva statue, the second-largest in the world, which seemed to touch the sky.
