When Fouad began developing his Nano-shielding Textile Machine, his advisers would constantly tell him that it would not work. Pushing the limits, he took his assumed failure and worked on finding ways to implement his work. He is now working on a project that changes the medical landscape where nanotechnology is used to graft veins for coronary heart surgeries. Intrigued by the principles of nanotechnology, Fouad has worked on exploring ways to integrate this technology in the medical field. Working on a new invention, he has created a way to apply petrochemicals and pharmaceuticals to ordinary textiles to change the way medicines are delivered to wounds without having to remove bandages and risk infections. To him this is only the first step in his goal to shape medical technology. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
