This answer will surprise you. This video has derived from a very twisted story in Jackie Chan MY STUNTS. I have been silent for 23 years in respect of Jackie but as it damages my career and keeps coming back, the time has come to speak out. The reality isn't always what it seems. But first of all, All in respect for the master Jackie himself as I think he's the best teacher of my life.

Full in depth Interview coming soon on the ‪@VikingSamurai‬ channel

Jackie is one of the greatest action stars/directors/choreographers of all time. He does all the big stunts himself and his status of a legend is untouched. Who am I ? is one of Jackie's best fight scenes in the charts and even won an Hong Kong Oscar for best fight.

Jackie gave me the chance to do the main fight in his movie 'Who am I ?' For me a dream came true, as no one ever believed me when I said I want to play movies. When Jackie came to shoot in Rotterdam I managed to become an extra on set, I gave the JC team a tape with the record highest kick and some fight demo's. I never did a real movie before. The shooting started great, after some great leg holding scenes, some nice kicks they had an opening scene in which they let Brad Allen do a few kicks, I couldn't try these and it was a nice opportunity for Brad I think they wanted to give him. And I think its one of the best sequences of the whole fight to be HONEST.

Later on suddenly they made a very long combo and another camera crew started to join in (MY STUNTS) JC suddenly became really detailed. JC wanted me to have a certain rhythm after they just gave me the Choreo to remember.....

*** Rhythm is like a 3rd dimension in movie fights, you will get after years and years of movies. Stuntman/coordinators actually know this and many high level stuntman and coordinators don't even reach this level themselves after x years. Jackie does everything realtime on the spot and in 5 minutes you got to be ready to do a full fight sequence, full speed. These days Stunt there are walkthoughs, pre viz, and shoot a next day, ... which is a BIG difference. 2 JC stuntman came to me during shooting and calmed me down as they said they were still nervous themselves even after 15 yrs working with JC.
.....
Jackie interrupted the sequences, and said I came too close I had a good leg control and would never hit Jackie in real) With the exp of JC, looking back at this ,.. this could EASILY solved by Jackie sliding back while fighting. So when I watched 23 years later I started to understand what was really going on. Some takes he just stopped and looking back I still cant figure out why ??? now being a coordinator myself. Great footage and drama for the docu of course. Jackie got really angry and the documentary continued telling they got Brad in to replace me .. THIS IS NOT RIGHT , he already did his combo... They got the angry shots the docu team vanished, and this STRESS never happened again not even for 1 shot after. They needed the footage to show that a NON JC member can't keep up with JC. It felt scripted. But this costed me basically a big part of my life/career. I had to start from -0 ...

When this docu came out I called the company responsible, Bey Logan said literally .. Ron you just unlucky, with the timing if it was another movie Gary Daniels would be the victim.

I still respect Jackie and I cant blame him, maybe the makers wanted some drama over the dead body of someone else. People started to ridicule me, and in every video of Who am I there's always this guy with the... Yes BUT he cant keep up with Jackie.. Well really for a first movie almost NO ONE can keep up with Jackie, compare it when you just learn how to handle a gear in a car and you have to ride a grand prix...

So I let this go for years, to move on and trying to become as good as possible and fighting as much action stars as possible , but this always came back to me... like if I have never developed over 23 yrs. I have been doubling many people myself and I learned so much . I understand the business. The breaking point came last week when I posted the final fight of Who am I and someone said ''' That's the guy who kicked Jackie in the face ha ha '- so the stories got even wilder, not knowing this affects a dream of someone who does this with all his heart. If they had that footage they would use it of course, that would be gold.. SO I feel there's a lot of sarcasm from people who actually wanting to fight Jackie themselves and I think this is super UGLY and once and for all I'm going to set things straight.

After Who am I I had a manager from London who wanted to bring me to USA, I was called to double Keanu in the Matrix (by Jeff Pruitt), all was cancelled straight away. This is actually a beautiful story of a person who came out of nowhere to fight Jackie Chan but got so much overshadowed by the few seconds I got doubled. At some point I was so hurt I couldn't even watch the scene anymore. While I should be very happy.
