After the 2nd attempt to get to Astoria, we finally made it! The 1st attempt we failed as Nehan shaft coupling broke and caused a cascade effect of other damage, ultimately having to haul out.

After a few thousand dollars in repairs, she splashed back into the water and we tried again!

Terrified as we traveled in the dark, dodging large container ships and dozens of fishing boats, we faced our fears and went for it. We traveled into the unknown, and successfully made it to Astoria, Oregon, 65 nautical miles from our original location in Portland.
