West Side Story's Ariana DeBose answers our burning questions | Bazaar UK

While the last two years have been drastically different for many people, it's been a particularly transformative period for #ArianaDeBose. The American actress and singer was cast as Anita in Steven Spielberg's #WestSideStory - a role she describes as "life changing" - and her performance has since landed her nominations for a Golden Globe, an Oscar, and two BAFTAs.

"It's definitely opened up my world to crazy new horizons," she tells us of the role when we meet to record our video interview at the BAFTA headquarters in London. She recalled how she felt when Spielberg offered her the job, describing it as a "really special" moment.
