A beautiful October day during New England peak foliage season and time to go exploring. We go looking for a lost ski hill from the 1940s that was a private ski run made by a wealth family back in 1947 and only ran for two years. This spot is about a mile hike in the woods and half way up a mountain so the adventure is great. We end up finding where the ski run once was located on old abandoned farm land from the colonial days and right up nest to a wall built in the 1700s. What is left of this ski run is the roof of a shed and a huge iron lift setup that once would have held the engine that pulled the road tow.
