Описание к видео India Wants To Become Port Superpower | India's Logistics Case Study

Seas are known as the nerve of the global economy. 90% of the World’s trade is done through the sea routes. This gives countries situated in strategic locations a competitive advantage. The small city-state of Singapore handles more traffic than all ports in India. Just one port in China handles more traffic than all ports in India combined. Things were not as bad as today. India had a very rich maritime trading history. Indian empires had maritime trade from Japan to the Roman Empire. However, in the last few decades, India did not play its strategy well. India is in the Indian Ocean region and close to choke points like the Middle East and the Strait of Malacca. But, better late than never. India now wants to up its ports game and make it a logistics superpower. Both, India’s public and private sectors are gearing up to challenge. In this video, we have explored everything about India’s port plan, from the past to the future.
