A few purchases & how I'm styling/using them

Описание к видео A few purchases & how I'm styling/using them

A little trip to Home Goods left me with some goodies! I had gone in for the big basket specifically, but also had most of these items on my list for a while now (especially the chair pillows!). If you’d like to see what I decided to leave behind you can view that video on TT (same handle name as here, @rosadelee).

I don’t loving pushing the capitalist agenda, but I do love hunting for beautiful goodies that create a cozy home. My rule of thumb was taught to me by my mom when I was young.. either it’s an immediate “i love this so much” which I now classify as a “full body yes” or “i think i love it, but i wanna sleep on it.” If I’m still thinking about an item for that space/use/or a specific item just because I loved it a week later, then I usually go for it!

Another way I like to check in with myself before purchasing something is by asking myself “if this was the last one and someone else bought it would I be relived or sad?” if I answer “relieved” then it means I just really appreciated the item, if I answer “sad” it means I really wanted the item.

In the end I live by: life’s short, buy what you want. But also, life’s long, buy with intention for yourself and the planet.

Even if an item isn’t labeled “sustainable” if it’s something that’s built well and you’re going to love it and use for years on end, then ultimately it’s sustainable. If it’s something you’re buying to impress others or use for a fleeting amount of time, then maybe ask yourself again “Do I really need this? Could I find this second hand?”

That’s the end of my rant. Thanks for being here :)
